In the course of our expansion we are providing outstanding project management professionals with the opportunity to become a PRINCE2® Approved Trainer. PRINCE2 Approved Trainers are entitled to provide PRINCE2 certification training using their sponsoring Accredited Training Organisation's materials and to invigilate the official PRINCE2 certification exams.
Our quality standards are very high. Our PRINCE2 trainers have to not just be able to deliver a project management course, but also be a subject matter expert with hands on, real world project management experience. They also have to possess and be able to share detailed knowledge of the PRINCE2 method before we let them give an accredited PRINCE2 training course.
All trainers must first take a 5-day course where we will together go through the following elements of preparing, giving and evaluating a training course:
- Introduction to the concept of training
- Learning process in a training programme
- Developing an integrated approach to learning in a training programme
- Steps in preparing a training design
- Delivering the training programme
- Training methods and techniques
- Training group and its dynamics
- Roles and functions of the trainer
- Evaluation of a training programme
- Evaluation of the PRINCE2 materials used by our ATO
After successfully participating in this part of the course the new trainer will be required to give at least 2 PRINCE2 training courses under supervision of our PRINCE2 Lead Trainer. Upon approval & request by the PRINCE2 Lead Trainer the new trainer will be presented to an assessor of APM Group, the PRINCE2 accreditation body. The APM Group assessor will attend & review a part of the training course given by the new trainer and afterwards do a 1-on-1 assessment interview with the new trainer. Upon successfully passing this assessment the new trainer will be approved by APM Group and is then accredited to give PRINCE2 courses & invigilate PRINCE2 exams on behalf of our PRINCE2 Accredited Training Organisation with materials provided by our PRINCE2 Accredited Training Organisation.
In order to be presented to APM Group for assessment the new trainer must have passed the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam with a score of at least 67% or 79 out of 108 available marks. S/he also has to pass the whole train the trainer program to the PRINCE2 Lead Trainer's satisfaction and fulfill all relevant APM Group requirements, which are listed on the APM Group website.
